Although the buildings in the background look as though they've been added to the negative, they're real enough, and unlike almost everything else along this stretch of Guernsey's east coast most of them are still there. My thanks to Charles David for pointing out that this is a view from just north of the Salerie Corner, looking towards the tramsheds; Martello Tower no. 1 is visible roughly in the centre.
