An Old Time Market Woman

Old Time Market WomanSt Sampson's (2002)
An Old Time Market Woman, Guernsey. Guerin, Publisher.

A little bit of detective work reveals that the '...R'S INN' in the background can only be the Mariner's Inn on the Bridge, prop. H. Mountain; next door was Edwin Guille Cumber, a chemist. The Mariner's Inn is still there, and although the name has changed - it's now Stonelake's - there's still a chemist's next door. Posted by Emily in February 1908, who writes "you would like to see the funny old women over here".
