La Moye, Le Gouffre
After refreshing themselves at Petit Bôt, early visitors to
Guernsey's
south coast were recommended to take the road back up to the Forest
Church,
then head back towards the coast at Le Gouffre, where they could
refresh
themselves again at the Gouffre Hotel, "where the cars sometimes stop
two
hours for lunch". The more adventurous could walk round on the cliff
path,
via the Pointe de la Moye. Both La Moye and Le Gouffre were regarded as
providing some of the finest cliff scenery Guernsey could offer.
